  • Use fresh organic ingredients
  • Store the mask in the refrigerator for a week only
  • If you make the mask from vegetables, fresh fruits, and milk or yogurt, keep in the refrigerator for no more than 24 hours. Don’t freeze.
  • For longer preservation of homemade face mask, add 500 mg of vitamin C, several drops of colloidal silver, or grapefruit seed oil. Grapefruit seed oil may cause irritation to your skin.

Homemade Face Mask

Clay and egg mask

  • 2 tablespoons of white clay
  • 1 tablespoon of corn flour
  • 1 organic egg white
  • 1 drop of chamomile oil

Mix all the ingredients in a china bowl until the egg white is completely dissolved. Apply the content to your clean dry face. If the mixture is too thick, dilute it with a freshly brewed chamomile tea. Let it dry on the face and wash off with tepid water.

This remedy temporarily lifts, deep clean, and pull out impurities from the skin.

Oatmeal homemade face mask

  • 1ounce of purified mineral water
  • 3 tablespoons of plain organic oatmeal
  • 1 peeled medium onion

Pour some boiled water over the oatmeal and let it steep for 5 minutes.  Puree the onion in a food processor and add it to the warm oatmeal. If you want it to be thicker, add some green clay or honey to it until it comfortably sets on your face for some minutes before washing off.

Onion performs the role of anti-inflammatory agent preventing the overproduction of collagen in acne scars. The oatmeal is good at penetrating deep into the pores and cleansing the excessive cell buildup and clogged pores.

The aloe whitening mask

  • ½ peeled sliced cucumber
  • 2 tablespoons of plain aloe juice
  • 1 tablespoon of whole-fat condensed milk
  • 1 tablespoon of honey

Blend the cucumber in a blender and add the aloe juice, milk, and honey. If the homemade face mask is too runny, add some kaolin clay to thicken to your liking. Apply to clean dry face and let it set for 15 minutes or until it dries. Wash it off gently with tepid water.

Cheesecake and lemon mask

  • 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed or bottled lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 3 teaspoons of plain or Greek-style yogurt
  • 1 egg white

Combine all the above ingredients in a bowl and whisk until the homemade face mask is thicken. Apply the mixture to your clean dry face and allow it to set for 15 minutes before washing off gently with warm water.

The antifungal and whitening properties in lemon boosts the antibacterial properties of the honey. Both the yogurt and the lemon also work as excellent natural peels that help to fade post-acne marks.

The egg white also contributes protein that helps to strengthen the skin’s defenses. Store the homemade face mask in the fridge and use it all within a week.

Natural face masks and treatment ideas

The Brewer’s yeast remedy

If you experience oily skin, the best way to deal with it is to use Brewer’s yeast mask. It tones your skin without drying out. Add a teaspoon of brewer’s yeast to some quantity of yogurt to form a thin mixture. Use the mixture over your oily parts and let it set for about 20 minutes and rinse with warm water, cool and use a towel to blot dry.

Cucumber method

If you want a gentle re-hydration for your sensitive skin, fetch ½ cucumber from the skin and combine it with few strawberries, a teaspoon of honey, and a tablespoon of yogurt. Use the mixture all over your face and permit it to dry, then wipe it off gently.

Do-nothing facelift method

You can train you face muscles to be relaxed in the proper natural way with stick-on “frownies”. This is a design that you can wear overnight on your forehead and between the brows. They help smooth your underlying muscles and reduce expression lines, so you can have younger-looking skin.

The grape boost method

The grape can do exactly what the expensive lotion can do. The grape juice is very great for cleaning any skin type. Just cut open one or two large grapes and remove the pips. Rub the grape flesh all over your face and neck for instant antioxidant cleaning and rinse off with cool water.

Rose petal homemade face mask

You can make a rose face mask for facial treatment. Grind a handful of petals into a paste, add little milk and if you want you can add some honey too. Apply the paste to your clean skin and permit it to stay for about 20 minutes and wash it out with plain water without soap. This helps your complexion to be smooth, soft and glowing.

Beware of free radicals

More studies have proven that computers and mobile phones emit electromagnetic waves that are able to penetrate and damage the skin. The best way to counter this is to protect your skin with Clarins Expertise 3p. This plant extract mist can help fortify your skin and keep the cell walls intact.

Magnetic facelift remedy

This remedy promises to smooth up your wrinkles and give a rejuvenating boost to the ageing skin. The facelift is made up of 19 strategically placed magnets you need to wear for 30 – 60 minutes a day for about two weeks to see an improvement.

Never test on the day

Face masks, soothing eye pads, skin bleaching, or any other beauty product that can have adverse effect on your skin must not be used for the first time prior to special occasion during the day time. Attempt to do so during day time can turn your normal skin red and lumpy, so find a quiet and leisure time at night to experiment with it.

Tropical coconut face mask

The coconut remedy is very profitable for older skin. Put some coconut flesh in a blender and add some boiling water to it. Blend for 5-10 minutes and squeeze the juice through cheese cloth. Use it to mask your skin. Coconut prevents free radical formation and penetrates the connective tissue to keep them firm and supple.

Revitalized dull skin

A dull and stressed out skin can be revitalized and refreshed with a spritz of rose water. After that moisturize the skin with rose facial oil and massage it into your skin in a circular movement that helps circulation and healthy glow.

Need a vitamin boost

Make a replenishing homemade face mask with one peeled avocado, molasses, honey and a few drops of chamomile essential oil mixed together properly in a blender. This adds important vitamin boost to your skin.

Go easy on your sensitive skin

If your skin reacts unfavorably to masks and you want to find a way around it, use gentler ingredients such as cucumber and chamomile and avoid lanolin which sometimes cause reactions.

Make sure you finish well

If you did not exfoliate your face before a mask, complete the masking process by using warm, wet face cloth gently over your face in circular movement. This method will act as a gentle exfoliant, leaving your skin instantly brighter and clear-looking. Be careful not to use scrub or product exfoliator because it can strip your skin.

Clay and mud remedy

Oily skin responds well to mud or clay-based masks. However, do not use them on your dry skin because they are too harsh.

When the homemade face mask is removed from the skin, dead skin cells, oil, and surface dirt adhere to the clay and are rinsed away with the mask. In case you have problem with an oily T-zone area but dry cheeks, use the mud mask over the T-zone area and use a gentle moisturizing mask for your cheeks.
